What happens when you go to the high-end of the apartment world in Lubbock? You still stay in prices that would shock people from Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. You can live in a 3-bedroom apartment with 3 bathroom for around $1500. Try that in one of the bigger cities in Texas.
No matter what your budget is, you can find apartments to match your needs in Lubbock, which is not true in many other cities. Almost every apartment that is over $600 in Lubbock would be considered a “good” to “great” apartment in the large metro areas.
